Traditional Use
Bergamot was first sold in an Italian city named Bergamo in Lombardy, hence the name Bergamot. The Italians traditionally used bergamot to treat fevers and worms. However, with recent research findings, it has been found that Bergamot has a wide range of applications. Popular oil in the fragrance industry for eau de cologne (cologne waters). Bergamot is used in Earl Grey Tea, which can be detected in the unusual taste and aroma of the tea.

Emotive
Promotes an air of confidence and motivation to help release 'bottled up' emotions. Stimulates freshness and joy, ideal for 'the blues'. Puts the 'sparkle' back in your eyes.

Therapeutic
Helps relieve mild anxiety, nervous tension and stress. Add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine, then add mixture to bath; or add 6 drops to vapouriser.

Skin and Hair Care

Treatment of boils, pimples, acne and relief of symptoms of cold sores. Add 3 drops to 10ml base cream and apply to affected areas. Suitable for oily and combination skin types.
