Traditional Use
In biblical times, the Cedarwood tree represented strength and integrity. The ancient Egyptians extensively used the wood in their building supplies. Cedarwood was also used as one of the mummification oils. The North American Indians valued Cedarwood for the treatment of catarrhal conditions and respiratory problems. In combination with citronella, it has been used traditionally to repel insects. The wood was also used to make pencils.

Therapeutic
Temporary relief of bronchial cough, sinusitis and symptoms of catarrh. Add 6 drops to bowl of steaming water, cover head with towel and inhale for 5 minutes. If cough persists, consult a health care professional.
