Traditional Use
The properties of Clove have been utilised for over 2000 years. The French call it clou (meaning nail) as the dried buds resemble little nails. Traditionally, Clove has had extensive uses treating skin infection, digestive disorders, headaches, migraines, relieving toothaches and keeping diseases and epidemics away.

Emotive
Warms cold dispositions. Sensual in nature, adds spice to a routine life. Stimulates the release of anger and irritability. Leaves an energised and invigorated atmosphere.

Therapeutic
Temporary relief of pain of arthritis, rheumatism and sprains. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage affected area. Alternatively, add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to bath; or add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to one litre of water for compress.

Temporary relief of symptoms of cold and flu. Add 6 drops to vapouriser. Alternatively add 6 drops to 1 litre of steaming water, cover head with and inhale for 5 minutes.

Traditionally used to repel insects. Add 6 drops to base oil or base cream and massage. Alternatively, add 6 drops to vapouriser.

Skin and Hair Care
For the treatment of bruises. Add 6 drops to base oil or base cream and massage.

Treatment of acne and tinea. Add 6 drops to base oil or base cream and massage body. For face add only 3 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
