Traditional Use
Most people identify Frankincense as one of the gifts given to Jesus by the three wise men. It has a long association with religion, burnt primarily as incense in China, India and western cultures. The Egyptians used Frankincense primarily for cosmetic purposes. The East and West have noted its uses for digestive disorders, urinary infections, respiratory complaints and nervous conditions.

Spiritual, enlightening and elevating. An ideal aid for meditation. Brings fortitude, courage and acceptance during times of despair and grief. Comforting and inspirational, promoting creativity and openness.

Therapeutic
For temporary relief of bronchial cough and the symptoms associated with laryngitis. Add 6 drops to 1 litre of steaming water, cover head with towel and inhale for 5 minutes. If cough persists, consult a health care professional.

For the relief of the symptoms of catarrh, cold and flu. Add 6 drops to 1 litre of steaming water, cover head with towel and inhale for 5 minutes. Alternatively, add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage chest, or add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine, then add mixture to bath.
