There is not a lot written about the history of this fruit, except that it was a highly valued source of Vitamin C.

Therapeutic
To assist in the treatment of fluid retention. Add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to bath; or add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage body. If fluid retention persists, seek medical advice.
For temporary relief of bronchial cough and to help reduce the severity of symptoms of cold and flu. Add 6 drops to vapouriser; or add 6 drops to 1 litre of steaming water, cover head with towel and inhale for 5 minutes. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage. If cough persists, seek medical advice.
