Traditional Use
The sweet intense fragrance of Ylang Ylang has been associated with being an aphrodisiac, which is why the petals are scattered over the bed of newly weds on their wedding night. Traditionally Ylang Ylang has been used to soothe insect bites and bring relief to malaria and fevers. Cosmetically Ylang Ylang is popular in hair and scalp tonics to help promote hair growth.

Emotive
Called the 'flower of flowers', it decreases inhibitions to allow openness. Promotes a sensual, meditative and soothing ambiance. Self-confident and enthusiastic in nature.

Therapeutic
Temporary relief of nervous tension, stress, mild anxiety and insomnia. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and apply to pressure points. Alternatively, add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add to bath, or add 6 drops to vapouriser.

Assists in the treatment of flatulence. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage stomach in a clockwise direction. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.

Skin and Hair Care
Scalp treatment. Add 6 drops to 10ml Jojoba oil and massage into scalp.

Suitable for oily skin. Add 3 drops to 10ml base cream and apply to affected area. Alternatively add 3 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to 1 litre of warm water for compress.
