Where are the ingredients in HealthWise® LactoBOOST sourced from?
While we reserve the right to obtain our colostrum from any source that satisfies our stringent quality requirements, we are committed to only sourcing from the Australasia region.
We currently secure our Lactoferrin and colostrum from a New Zealand farm which specialises in the production of these two remarkable raw ingredients. The milk used is sourced entirely from New Zealand dairy cows and contains no preservatives, antioxidants or food additives.
Can I take this product if I am lactose intolerant?
Lactoferrin is an iron-binding protein, not a sugar. There is only a very small amount of lactose in the amount of colostrum in each capsule and therefore it is unlikely to pose a problem in cases of mild to moderate lactose intolerance.
rBST Free
It is also free of rBST - recombinant bovine somatotropin, which is a genetically engineered hormone which forces cows to artificially increase milk production by 10 to 15 percent. This is not licensed for use in dairy cows by the New Zealand Food Safety Authority.
