• Cod Liver Oil 1000 may be used for the prevention or treatment of vitamin, mineral or nutritional deficiencies.
• Cod liver oil is a naturally rich source of vitamins A and D, thus helping to maintain the health of the teeth, bones and tissues, including the eyes, skin and hair. Vitamin A may specifically assist in the maintenance of the skin, stomach lining and mucous membranes of the digestive tract. Vitamin D assists in the metabolism of calcium within the body.

WARNING

• When taken in excess of 3000 mcg retinol equivalents, vitamin A can cause birth defects. If you are pregnant or are considering becoming pregnant, do not take vitamin A supplements without consulting your doctor.
• The recommended daily amount of vitamin A from all sources is 700 mcg retinol equivalents for women and 900 mcg retinol equivalents for men.
• Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
