  Indications

  • Benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) is an age-related, androgen-dependent enlargement of the prostate gland. The condition is extremely common among ageing men, occurring in more than 50% of men over 50 years of age.
  • BPH is characterised by urinary symptoms including increased urinary frequency, night-time urination, urgency to urinate, weak urinary stream, difficulty starting urination and a sensation that the bladder is not empty after urinating
  • Contains the clinically trialled dose of Saw palmetto extract for the management of medically diagnosed BPH.
  • May assist in the management and symptomatic relief of medically diagnosed BPH.
  • May reduce urinary frequency, night time urination, urinary urgency, and improve urine flow and bladder emptying in medically diagnosed BPH.
  • May reduce lower urinary tract symptoms associated with medically diagnosed BPH.
  • May help inhibit activity of the enzyme 5 alpha-reductase, therefore reducing conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT). DHT is thought to contribute to increased prostate cell growth.
  • Traditionally Pygeum and Epilobium are used to help maintain prostate health.
  • Contains the antioxidants lycopene, selenium and zinc to help maintain a healthy prostate.
  • Provides antioxidants that may protect the prostate from free radical damage.
  • Zinc is found in high concentrations in the prostate and is important for normal prostate function and/or male hormone balance.
  • Helps maintain prostate health.

  WARNINGS

  • This product contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 150 micrograms for adults, of selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded.
