Psyllium Hulls Combination - 375gm

This formula contains herbs that can support the eliminative function of the bowel.

• Psyllium Hulls are hydrophilic bulking agents, meaning that they attract water, and can swell 8-14 times its original size in water. For this reason it is most commonly used as a bulking agent to assist in the relief of constipation.
• Hibiscus Flowers properties include diuretic and laxative.
• Liquorice has a number of properties, including expectorant, demulcent, anti-spasmodic and anti-inflammatory. In addition to these it is also considered to be a laxative.

Therapeutic Use
A mild, bulking laxative. Assists in the treatment of constipation. Of indirect benefit to people suffering from haemorrhoids. Drink plenty of water. Increase fibre in the diet.

Active Ingredients
Each gram contains powdered:
Plantago ovata (Psyllium) husks 829mg
Hibiscus sabdariffa (Hibiscus) flower 131mg
Glycyrrhiza glabra (Liquorice) root 40mg

Dosage
For adults: mix one 5mL metric spoonful (3g) in 250mL of water or juice, 1-3 times daily.
For children age 6-12 years on medical advice: mix ¼ 5mL metric spoonful (750mg) in 125mL of water or juice, once daily (at bedtime).
