Chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants that harnesses the sun’s energy through photosynthesis to perform various metabolic functions. It is sometimes called “liquid sunshine”. During photosynthesis plants absorb sunlight and, with that energy, chlorophyll changes water and carbon dioxide absorbed from the air into sugar. The plant is then able to use this, along with minerals absorbed from the earth, to make vitamins, fats, proteins and starches it needs in order to survive. Humans and animals, along with non-green plants such as mushrooms, rely upon the food producing capabilities of chlorophyll.

Nature’s Sunshine, which obtains its chlorophyll from alfalfa, is a long-standing product in the range. It is sometimes stated that ‘If you’re green on the inside your clean on the inside”. It is considered a useful nutritional aid for the human body.

Nature’s Sunshine have combined Chlorophyll with spearmint oil to form a refreshing mint flavoured drink when mixed with water. Liquid chlorophyll may assist in neutralising body odours and acts as an internal deodorant. It can also be used as a mouth gargle to relieve minor inflammations of the throat.

Active Ingredients
Each 5ml dose contains:
Sodium Chlorophyllin-copper-complex 15mg
Spearmint Oil 4mg

Dosage
For adults and children age 6-12 years: take one teaspoonful (5mL) in a glass (250mL) of water three times daily, as a nutritional aid for the body.
