Traditional Use
Lavender has had a long illustrious history where its popularity even to this very day has not waned. The name Lavender came from the Roman word 'lavare', meaning to wash, as the Romans would add it to their baths. Due to its versatile nature, Lavender has been used for a wide range of purposes, from repelling insects to neuralgia, colic, hysteria, healing wounds and burns.

Emotive
Reputed for relaxation, inner peace and harmony. Gentle and compassionate, brings clarity, acceptance and balance. Calms and steadies turmoil in a tense environment.


Therapeutic
For temporary relief of headaches. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage pressure points, or add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to 1 litre of cold water for compress.

To help relieve nervous tension, mild anxiety, stress and insomnia. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and massage pressure points. Alternatively add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to bath; or add 6 drops to vapouriser.

Temporary relief of bronchial coughs and the relief of symptoms of catarrh, cold and flu. Add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to bath; or 6 drops to 1 litre steaming water, cover head with towel and inhale for 5 minutes. Asthmatics should avoid inhalation method. If cough persists, consult a health care professional.


Skin & Hair Care
For cuts, minor burns and abrasion. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and apply to affected area, or add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to 1 litre of cold water for compress.

Treatment of sunburn. Add 6 drops to 10ml base oil or base cream and apply to body, or 3 drops to 10ml base cream for face. Alternatively add 6 drops to 10ml Vegetable Glycerine and add mixture to bath.

Relief of symptoms of cold sores. Add 3 drops to 10ml base cream and apply.
